Changzhou
Changzhou is a city in the Yangtze Delta area in the southern Jiangsu province of China located on the southern bank of the Yangtze River. Changzhou borders the provincial capital of Nanjing in the west, Zhenjiang in the northwest, Wuxi in the east and the province of Zhejiang in the south. To its west and south are the Maoshan Mountain and Tianmu Mountain.It is not far from Shanghai (hotels in Shanghai) and Ningbo.
The historic town of Yancheng or the Yancheng Remains is a archaeological site with ruins, about seven kilometres from Changzhou, that goes back to 1,000 years before Christ. It is the oldest and most well-preserved ancient town in China and the only town in the world that had three layers of town walls and moats.
